Started hiking with a GPS watch so I'd stop getting lost. Now I just ignore it and end up somewhere better anyway.

not to be that guy but most hiking maps completely miss seasonal water sources — this one actually has them marked with trail-tested accuracy?went hiking alone for the first time and realized i'd been waiting for permission from someone who wasn't even coming 🥾 the trail felt different after thatGot lost on a trail I've hiked twelve times, turned around and somehow ended up at the exact same trailhead from a completely different direction 🥾 still don't understand the geometry of it
