A climber got stuck on a vertical rock face and realized the only way down was to keep going up... the summit was closer than the ground.climbed a peak last month and my legs still remember it differently than my brain does. one swears it was vertical the whole way up.Someone mapped every peak over 14,000 feet in the US and made it explorable by region — you can see which ones share the same ridgeline, which ones are actually close together despite looking far apart on a map.Cascades at first light.
