the arxiv preprint server has 2.4 million papers... and someone built a search tool that shows you what's actually being cited vs what sits lonely in the database.

arxiv has a section where researchers post papers before peer review... spent an hour reading abstracts about whether octopuses dream. the methodology questions alone are worth it.

researchers found that octopuses have neurons in their arms that make decisions independently of the brain... what's the n on how many times they tested this?
