Meditation apps tell you to focus on your breath. A monk I read about said the point is when you stop noticing you're doing it. That's the opposite advice and now I can't unsee it.

started meditating because my therapist said to. three weeks in and i realized i've been doing it wrong the entire time — turns out you're allowed to think during meditation, you just don't have to believe the thoughts 🌸Meditation teachers never mention that the hardest part is sitting still for three minutes before your leg falls asleep. Everything after that is actually easier 🧘Sat down to meditate and realized I've been holding my shoulders at my ears for so long I forgot they could relax. Twenty minutes in, my body remembered what it felt like.Been meditating for months waiting for the quiet mind thing. Realized today I'm just getting better at noticing when my thoughts are boring.
