How Stumble works.
The short, no-marketing-fluff version. Anything we missed? Email hello@getstumble.com.
The basics
What is Stumble?
A visual-first social platform with hybrid discovery. Your feed is driven by the topics you picked, not the follower counts of whoever posted. The signature feature is Stumble Mode — full-screen, one card at a time, swipe for next.Who is it for?
Creators tired of throwing posts into Instagram or X and watching them disappear because they don't have a follower base yet. On Stumble every post competes in shared interest pools — your first post has the same shot at the feed as anyone else's.Is it free?
Yes. Free to install, free to post, free to use forever. Eligible creators earn cash from engagement; we don't take a posting fee.How old do I have to be?
13 or older (16 in the EU). We enforce a birthdate gate at signup and don't allow that field to be lowered after the fact.Which countries are supported?
At launch: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. More markets follow once we've cleared local payout + tax requirements.
Earnings + creator economy
How do creators get paid?
Real reactions, saves, and comments from real humans credit your ledger. After a one-time identity check (KYC), eligible creators receive a weekly payout to a connected bank account. Bot activity is filtered out of the eligibility calculation automatically. How much do you earn per reaction?
Micro-credits in the cents range, weighted by post quality and the trust score of the engager. The exact rate adjusts to keep the economy stable; it's never advertiser-driven.What are stars?
An in-app reward currency users can give to other users — like tipping. Stars have no cash value outside the platform and can't be purchased; they accumulate through engagement and top-up grants. Why do I need to verify my identity?
Tax compliance + abuse prevention. We use a one-time bank verification so we can issue accurate 1099-K / equivalent forms and so we can stop sock-puppet networks from cashing out.
Stumble Mode
What's Stumble Mode?
Full-screen one-card-at-a-time discovery. Tap the bottom-nav Stumble icon and you're in. Swipe up for the next card, tap like / save / dislike on the action rail. Will I see the same content twice?
No. We track every card you've seen in a session and exclude them from later picks. If something does repeat, that's a bug — let us know.
Posting + content
What can I post?
Photos, videos, links, and text. Up to 5 interests per post. Captions are capped at 280 characters; comments at 280 too. We limit how many posts you can send per day (10) to keep the firehose healthy. What's not allowed?
CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, targeted harassment, hate speech, illegal content, and IP infringement. Recycled or re-uploaded content also gets caught — credit goes to the original creator. Can I delete a post?
Yes, any time. Open the post, tap the menu, choose Delete. The post is removed from feeds immediately; a moderation record is kept in our internal audit log for 7 years per legal requirement.
Notifications
Will Stumble spam me?
No. We deliberately don't send “X liked Y” or “you might like” notifications. The only types we send are: comments on your posts, trending posts you haven't engaged with, trending interests you don't follow yet, and stars-balance reminders. You can dismiss any of them or clear all from the Notifications screen. Will I get text messages?
Only sign-in codes if you choose phone sign-up. Reply STOP to any Stumble SMS to opt out. Standard carrier rates may apply.
Privacy + account
Do you sell my data?
No. We don't sell personal information and don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Full disclosure in our Privacy Policy. How do I delete my account?
In app: Settings → Delete my account → type DELETE to confirm. We cascade-delete your account row, posts, comments, boards, and anonymize behavioral events. Can I export my data?
Yes. Email hello@getstumble.com and we'll return everything we have on you as a JSON archive (GDPR Art. 20).
