Terms of Service

Last updated: May 12, 2026.

These Terms govern your access to and use of Stumble. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU). Stumble enforces a hard birthdate gate at signup; underage accounts are removed when identified.

2. License you grant Stumble

When you upload content, you grant Stumble a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, distribute, and reformat that content for the purpose of running and promoting the platform. You retain ownership of your content. The license terminates when you delete the content or your account, except as required for backups, audit logs (see §10), or as needed to comply with law.

3. Your representations

4. Stumble's rights

Stumble may, at its sole discretion: (a) shadow-limit, shadow-hide, suspend, or terminate any account; (b) remove content; (c) refuse service. Each moderation action is recorded in an immutable audit log (retained for 7 years per §10).

5. SMS / Mobile messaging

If you provide a phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Stumble for the purpose of verifying your identity (one-time sign-in codes) and related account alerts. By entering your phone number on the sign-in or sign-up screen you confirm you are the subscriber of that number and authorized to receive messages on it.

No mobile information collected for SMS messaging is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling disclosure.

6. Notifications

Stumble sends a small, fixed set of notification types: comments on your posts, trending posts you haven't engaged with, trending interests you don't follow, and balance / reward reminders for the in-app stars economy. We do not send “X liked Y” notifications or generic “you might like” promotional spam. You can dismiss any notification or clear all notifications from the Notifications screen.

7. Stars economy

Stumble has an in-app reward currency called “stars”. Stars are earned through engagement, can be given to other users, and have no cash value outside the platform. Daily caps, signup grants, and earn / give rates are subject to change without notice to prevent abuse. Stars cannot be purchased.

8. Earnings + payouts

Eligible creators may earn cash payouts on a portion of their post-driven engagement. Eligibility requires successful identity verification (KYC) and residence in a supported country (currently US, Canada, UK, Australia). Payouts are subject to applicable withholding and tax reporting requirements. Bot-generated activity does not earn payouts and is filtered out of the eligibility calculation.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Termination ends your license to use the platform; sections that by their nature should survive termination (license to retained content under §2 for audit log purposes, dispute resolution under §11) continue to apply.

10. Audit logs and retention

Moderation decisions are written to an append-only audit log retained for 7 years for legal-compliance purposes. Personal identifiers inside moderator notes are redacted at deletion time; the action records themselves remain.

11. Disputes

These Terms are governed by Delaware law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The class-action waiver is enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law. Either party may bring a small-claims action in lieu of arbitration where eligible.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email and an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
